Frequently Asked Questions

What is a broker of record?
In Florida, every real estate brokerage must have a licensed broker of record on file with the DBPR. This licensed broker takes legal responsibility for the brokerage transactions and compliance. MyFLBroker provides this service -- our licensed broker (BK511192) serves as your broker of record so you can legally operate your brokerage.
Do I need my own broker license?
No. If you use MyFLBroker, you can operate as a sales associate under our broker of record. You still need an active Florida real estate sales associate license, but you do not need to obtain your own broker license to run your brokerage.
What is included in the $200 per month service?
The monthly fee covers: serving as your DBPR-registered broker of record, signing your RE-7 and RE-13 DBPR forms, quarterly compliance check-ins, access to our agent management portal, and unlimited email support for compliance questions.
Are there limits on how many agents I can have?
The standard plan covers your brokerage with up to 3 agents. Each additional agent is $100 per month. There is no cap on the total number of agents.
Can I terminate the service?
Yes. Service is month-to-month with no long-term contract. You can cancel with 30 days notice. Upon cancellation, we file the required DBPR paperwork to remove our broker of record designation.
What happens if a complaint is filed against my brokerage?
As broker of record, we are copied on all DBPR complaints and participate in the response process alongside you. We provide guidance on responding to complaints and maintaining compliance throughout any investigation. Serious violations may require us to terminate the relationship.
